About a week after approving all of the final produciton samples and approving everything, I noticed an issue with the Learn 2 Play Decks. The set includes 2 half decks that two players can use to learn how to play the game. Having already approved the card proofs (they are presented in an uncut sheet format), I guess I was primarily focused on the packaging and assembly of everything. When I finally opened the shrink wrap on the two decks, I noticed that the cards, while in the correct order, were flipped the wrong direction. They needed to be face-down so that the cards could be drawn in the order that follows along with the guide booklets. This was a critical issue. Unfortunately, since I had approved the original proofs (albeit in sheet format, I was able to verify that the cards were in the correct order, but failed to understand which direction the cards were to be flipped upon assembly)- everything had been printed and packaged the incorrect way. We decided to incur an extra cost to have all of the cards in the Learn 2 Play decks flipped so that they are the proper sequence when playing through the Learn 2 Play walkthrough. The cheaper and quicker option would have been to add an insert explaining how to flip the cards so that they are in the correct orientation to follow the guide books. We felt like this could be unprofessional at best and confusing at worst- so we opted to swallow the additional cost and get it corrected. Unfortunately, this has added time to the already lengthy process. Everything else had been done since the end of June. As of writing this, things are just about complete with the Learn-2-Play corrections. We have been given a cargo ready date of August 17th. Which means that is when we can have arrangements scheduled for the forwarder to pick up the products and get them onto a ship. Once we have the freight details we will provide a tracking number so that you can follow along. Freight can vary between 3-6 weeks. We have experienced some quicker and slower times in the past, so it will just depend on the route, how long things are held up in port, if they are shipped to the west coast or east coast, etc. At this point I would expect to be receiving everything here in Michigan near the end of September. From there, we will need at least a week to get everything packaged and shipped. October is now looking like the most likely arrival time to your doorstep. I am so sorry this process has been taking as long as it has!
