He was one of the most quoted persons in all of history. His life and ministry were so important, they were covered in Scripture by four different writers. His teachings and example were not only revolutionary at the time- they still challenge and encourage us today. Crowds sought after him, fisherman followed him, and religious leaders despised him. His words have turned even the most zealous avenger toward compassion, the hardest heart toward love, the enslaved to freedom, and the worst of sinners to forgiveness. They have given many reason to leave their comfort and even risk their lives to follow Him. Peter had the audacity to proclaim this statement: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 KJV).
So just who was this man? Jesus of Nazareth.
